Time Out says

Celebrate a year of singing, friendship and post-rehearsal beers at the Erko

Get your annual fix of carols and community cheer at local choir Inner West Voices’ end-of-year concert at Marrickville Town Hall.

Hosted by writer and actress Alex Lee (The Checkout, Single Asian Female, Dragon Friends), the evening will see audiences regaled with Christmas classics like ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘O Holy Night’, as well as a few surprise picks – they’ve hinted at a Brazilian folk song and a cheesy ’90s hit.

Founded in 2014 by a pair of local music teachers, the non-auditioned group is open to the entire community, going from a quiet singalong to over 100 budding choralists. As the little choir that could, they’ve performed alongside Christine Anu, Gurrumul, the Sydney Chamber Opera and even live on ABC Radio.

Entry is free for kids under ten, and all ticket proceeds go towards printing sheet music, renting rehearsal spaces and commissioning fresh works in the new year.
