You might know them best for their butter-drenched hummus, but Glebe's ace Middle Eastern diner, Thievery, is ringing back their Middle Eastern riff on yum cha for one week in February.
The cross continental journey melds the traditions of China and the flavours of the Middle East so that prawn toast comes with zhoug and sumac, fried chicken is served with ginger and green shallot dressing, and crisp skin chicken will be a carrier for a Szechuan-style strange flavour sauce.
Middle Eastern yum cha will be available alongside the ordinary Thievery menu from Tuesday February 5 to Saturday February 9, and bookings are recommended.
