Thanks to the cultural vortex of Sydney Festival, you'll probably be spending a whole lot more time around our cultural institutions over January, and seasoned arts lovers will know that the dinner pickings around Darlington are slim. Happily, a Spanish restaurant is popping up to solve your pre-theatre snacking conundrums down at Carriageworks for the length of the festival. Cosecha will be open from noon each day, serving bocadillos (Spanish baguettes) stuffed with tortilla or crumbed chicken, cheese-and-meat boards, tapas-style snacks in the evenings and paella at dinnertime. Add a jug of red or white wine sangria to the mix and you've got the fixings for a tip-top evening of art and culture on your hands.
