Time Out says

Two of Sydney's most influential chefs will go head-to-head in a culinary clash

Retro Hong Kong inspired favourite Ni Hao Bar and Japanese mainstay Simulation Senpai are set for a collision of the culinary minds for two incredible sittings on Sunday, March 13.

Owner of Ni Hao Bar, Howin Chui, along with his head chef, Bremmy Setiyoko, and Sydney’s most critically acclaimed Japanese chef, Chase Kojima, will join forces to create some of the best Cantonese x Japanese cuisine Sydney has to offer with their crossover menu.

Imagine the 'walk-off' battle scene from Zoolander but with grown men playing with their food and you'll have an idea of what to expect at this playful, food-focused affair.

Setiyoko came to Sydney in 2012 to pursue a career as a head chef, working for acclaimed restaurants Jazz City Diner, Spice Temple, and Sepia, prior to his current position as head chef at Ni Hao Bar.

Kojima began his culinary career at 11-years-old working at his father’s traditional Japanese restaurant, then working in restaurants all over the world, including the Nobu restaurant group. Kojima is considered one of Australia’s best and most influential Japanese chefs, recently opening an abolutely killer ramen eatery in Chatswood and with months-long waitlists at his omakase in Sokyo at the Star.

Kojima and Setiyoko will push their creative culinary skills to the limit, playing with the food from each other’s menus, adding Cantonese and Japanese flavour where they see fit. The exclusive dining experience will consist of a 10-course meal at $128 per person, where spectators/lucky diners can opt for a lunch or dinner sitting.
