On August 4, 2020 a tragic explosion in Beirut, Lebanon killed at least 155 people and injured over 5000 more. The disaster hit the city at a time when Lebanon's national economy was already suffering.
Now, Sydney café Kepos and Co is banding together with eminent makers and growers in Sydney's dining scene to put on a weekend of mezze-style Lebanese-inspired brunches and lunches, with all profits going toward relief efforts in Lebanon.
Kepos and Co's Michael Rantissi and his team will be joinign by Merna Taouk of Merna's Crumpets, Pierre Issa of Pepe Saya, Carol and Sharon Salloum of Darlinghurst's Almond Bar, Larissa Takchi, winner of 2019's Masterchef season, and a whole host of other Sydney heavyweights.
Book in for brunch from 10.30am for $40 per person, or lunch from 12.15am for $65 per person. Bookings are available for both Saturday and Sunday. All proceeds will go towards the Australian Red Cross' Beirut Explosion Appeal.
