Even though a free puppy truffle hunting day that comes with a free four-course degustation and live music in the Southern Tablelands may sound like a dream that’s just too good to be true – it actually isn’t. This is, in fact, a living reality, and it’s happening two hours away from Sydney on Saturday, June 25 at Ganymede Truffle Farm at 10.30am, eastern standard time. You heard it all here first.
DoGoodDoggy is throwing a day of canine festivities for all of NSW’s most ardent puppy-lovers, with guests (and their pooches) able to pre-book in for a day of tramping through the countryside looking for truffles, where your fluffy friends can learn the delicate art of truffle discovery from the farm’s number one hunting dog star, Zazu.
After a wholesome romp looking for black gold, you will be able to traipse back to the restored 1800s farmhouse, where there will be a roaring fire and a four-course seasonal degustation lunch waiting for you – with there also being an option to add on a comprehensive wine pairing, just to really drive that whole nirvana thing home. After lunch (during which you will be serenaded by local musicians), there will be the option to compete in games for prizes, with humans and dogs alike all getting the chance to get festively involved.
