Poof Doof Direct
Time Out says
This great big queer club night is now bringing the party direct to your living room
There are few parties more exalted in the Melbourne LGBTQIA scene than the long-running Poof Doof. The Doof-ers made a controversial transplant to Sydney’s Ivy in November last year, and the party has raged ever since. Well, until all our city's venues had to close, that is.
This Saturday, the club is coming direct to you with a livestreamed extravaganza headlined by dance icons and ‘UFO’-spotters Sneaky Sound System. You’d better not turn off the projector, they’ll be joined by host Jimi The Kween and an epic lineup of local queer DJs spinning house and techno including Sveta, Troy Beman, James Alexandr, and drag artists Danni Issues, Hannah Conda and Faux Fur.
The Sydney edition of Poof Doof Direct follows weeks of party streams from Melbourne that are said to have been entertaining 30,000 viewers each week. If you’re looking to turn it up a notch, you can order a ‘Poof Doof Party Pack’ for $75, which includes a rainbow bottle of Absolut Vodka, two cans of Red Bull, two cans of soda water and a couple of bottles of Hahn Super Dry.
Want to keep the party going with local queer entertainers? Live from Stonewall will transport you to Oxford Street every locked up weekend.
