1. Catch a Redsox Game

The Red Sox will be playing at Fenway Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend against the Texas Rangers. Enjoy a Fenway frank, a cold beer and America’s oldest baseball park.

View the schedule and purchase tickets here.

2. Try a new restaurant

With so many people heading to the Cape and islands for the long weekend, it’s the perfect time to try and score a hot table at one of the newer restaurants in town. Some hot new spots we love right now are Umbria Steakhouse in the North End, the new Greek restaurant from the team behind Krasi, Bar Vlaha in Brookline, who are debuting brunch over Labor Day weekend, including the Monday holiday. Also worth a visit over the long weekend?  Prima, an Italian spot from the people behind Lincoln and Capo in Charlestown, Marseille, a sprawling bistro in the South End, the kitchen and cafe at the Nubian Markets in Roxbury, and Zhi Wei Cafe in the Leather District.

There is nothing like enjoying one last summer weekend on Nantucket. Whether you go down for a day trip or the whole weekend, here are a few places to check out on the island.

Dine at Sister Ship (29 Centre St, Nantucket, MA 02554) at the Faraway Hotel downtown. This is the coolest new opening on Nantucket so you will not be disappointed.

If you can swing a few days on Nantucket, check out The Federal Suite at Faraway Nantucket (29 Centre St, Nantucket, MA 02554). This standalone suite offers its own private entrance, three bedrooms, chef’s kitchen, wet bar and outdoor patio. Trust us, you will have a pretty luxe LDW if you book the Federal Suite.
