The city is buzzing with excitement as top mixologists from around the world take turns as guest bartenders in Hong Kong this July. One event you definitely don't want to miss is the bar takeover by Patrick Pistolesi, ‘The King of Rome’ from Drink Kong in Italy which ranked 16th on the World's Best Bar list in 2022. Pistolesi is renowned for his expertise in the industry and on July 17, he will be showcasing his skills at the newly opened Bar Leone, owned by fellow Italian Lorenzo Antinori. Pistolesi's bar, Drink Kong, is known for its innovative approach, allowing guests to participate in the creation of their cocktails based on their personal taste, mood, and interaction with the bar staff.
On July 17, from 9pm to 11pm , you'll have the opportunity to meet the influential icon and sample his creation, featuring The Macallan Double Cask single malt whisky. The Macallan Signature Taste Cocktails will include ‘The Estate’, a fusion of 'East meets West' flavours combining pineapple and miso. There's also ‘The Prisma’, a refreshing highball that combines yuzu, sake, lemongrass, and ginger, topped with soda. And for those who prefer a spirit-forward drink, there's ‘The Spazio’, featuring Mancino vermouth, Luxardo Bianco, and grapefruit bitters.
Can't make it to the bartending shift? Bar Leone's founder Lorenzo Antinori will be crafting an exclusive cocktail featuring The Macallan Double Cask at his bar from July 25 to August 31.
