Time Out says

Join thousands of sake lovers around the world in toasting to all things Nihonshu

Celebrated since 1978, World Sake Day recognizes all things sake and its contributions to Japanese culture. To kick off this year’s event on October 1, The World Sake Day (WSD) Global Kanpai and Sake Central, together with Hong Kong’s Oriental Sake Awards (OSA), and the Federation of Japanese Sake Industry of Hong Kong (FJSIHK), is launching a massive toast to sake via an online celebration and an on-ground event at KIN Food Halls. Industry professionals and sake enthusiasts from around the world will take the 44-year-old tradition to new heights. From 6pm to 9pm, up to 300 live feeds from restaurants, bars, importers, educators, sake breweries, various media platforms, and sake fanatics will cheer for World Sake Day. Join the fun and celebrations online or drop by at KIN Food Halls to raise your own limited edition World Sake Day Ochoko Sake Cup. Register for the online celebration here, or buy tickets for the on-ground event in Hong Kong via eventbrite.hk

Tickets to the KIN Food Halls event ($188) will get you a limited edition Ochoko sake cup, t-shirt, unlimited tasting of over 80 sake, and access to the live big-screen feed to cheer with the rest of the world. Enjoy specially curated dishes by Awa Awa’s head chef Joe Chan during the night. Photo and video booths are also available at the venue for added fun.
