The Francophonie Festival 2022 has officially kicked off! Organised by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and the Alliance Française Hong Kong, the cultural fun fest is taking place online this year, featuring events around the French language and francophone cultures throughout the months of March and April.
In honour of the Grand Siècle – the period of French history in the 17th Century – and French playwright Molière, who would have celebrated his 400 birthday this year, a fascinating webinar will be held on March 22 with award-winning theatre director, actor, drama educator Mr Tang Shu Wing, alongside Christopher Tong, Associate Professor at the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) to discuss their point of view on a contemporary interpretation of Molière's piece.
The event is free and open to all, so RSVP now on the festival's website!
