I Vicerè

Based on the novel by Federico De Roberto, the Uzedas are a Sicilian family faithful to the Bourbon kings who rule Sicily and southern Italy. However, with the unification of Italy underway under the leadership of Giuseppe Garibaldi and the House of Savoy, the Uzedas risk losing influence. The family fights to remain in control of its power under the new regime, both on the political and on the personal side, leading to intricate love affairs, difficult parental relationships and many other obstacles.
