Venue says Don’t miss our Fever Tree ultimate gin and tonic summer bar every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening from June 8 to August 26.

An upscale cocktail bar of high quality in the beautiful former booking office of St Pancras station.

The unstoppable uplift of the King’s Cross area brings a new bar/restaurant nearly every week, but the Booking Office remains the undisputed champion for cocktails. For one thing, it’s just a great place to sit, whether you’re in the lovely former booking hall, with its dark wood and soaring gothic arches, or outside overlooking the train tracks. There can be slightly longer waits outside, so don’t go there if you’re in a rush. Frequented by a lot of business people – and, naturally, by travellers – it’s not a place you go for a cool hangout vibe. But you make your own vibe at the comfortable, low-slung tables. The cocktail list starts at £9 for punches (a speciality) with most between £11 and £15. They play around with classic drinks adventurously but sensibly, and if nothing takes your fancy, ordering off-list is easy and rewarding. And take note (or be warned) – Office hours last until 3am from Thursday to Saturday.

Booking Office says
Located inside the original station’s ticket hall, The Booking Office provides a modern-British dining experience in a truly unique setting.

The vaulted, cathedral-like room features a 29-metre-long bar wrapped around the Grade I-listed ticket booth. Signature punches are served from copper bowls alongside a range of cocktails inspired by great Victorian writers such as Charles Dickens, Lewis Carroll and Arthur Conan Doyle. With its dedicated booths, the Booking Office is the ideal location for a private party.

So whether you want to sip on Victorian-inspired cocktails and revel in the romance of a bygone era, or enjoy modern-British cuisine in one of London’s most exciting new neighbourhoods; the Booking Office is the place to be.

So ... I happened to be passing through when my stomach gave in and the booking office was within reach.

I opted for wine and what I had wasn't the best but then again I wasn't expecting it to be. I had a pubbish style meal which was pretty yummy and filling! The wait for my meal wasn't long either ... I really appreciated that! I saw other customers ordering cocktails and they looked pretty good! Next time I'll try those :)

A beautiful building with fantastic drinks (the gin and tonics were perfect). While obviously not cheap it's a great place to stop off in the area.

On one visit, they were doing Victorian punch served from big copper bowls at intervals along the bar. Enough said. (But they have great food, too.)

Where do i start?!? The most delicious food i have EVER tasted!! (yes, ever!!)
Scrumptious cocktails which look and taste incredible, great staff and a stunning building!
Cannot wait to re-visit !

We had a pre-train drink in the booking office. What a beautiful room, with modern touches integrated into the historic setting.

The menu is extensive, with a wide range of cocktails and spirits. My rum concoction was delicious but absolutely tiny for £9 (though it did come in a lovely copper cup). Meanwhile, the service was lacklustre and slow - always a shame in a place where people are likely to be dashing for a train.

In all, it's not bad but there's plenty of room for improvement.

Went to the booking office after we got back a work trip from Paris on a late train. It was a week night & most places are close to shutting, the booking office still had plenty of people enjoying beautiful food and drinks. My beer came in a beer tankard, we ordered a few different fingers food all of which were delicious. With the grand setting of the building and great service, it's now become my go-to spot whenever I'm meeting friends in Kings cross!

If you're looking for a bar with beautiful surroundings and a touch of class then pop into the Booking Office for a cocktail or two. The champagne ones are especially good, particularly the ring of roses. The perfect start to a weekend break on the Eurostar.

Had a good time here mid week, the bar staff were very friendly and attentive. The cocktails were great and I would recommend the French lieutenants. Hopefully I will be back soon!

I've been here a few times and I have to say, although it can be incredibly packed and a little pricey, I really love the place. In terms of food, it is honestly nothing to shout about, but I really love the decor and atmosphere of this place.

It is elegant, and full of history. Being in here simply transports me back to a different time in London...!

Maybe drop by for a quick drink on a Sunday evening (it is the least busy) but otherwise, it can be too packed - which ruins the atmosphere a little in my opinion!

Elegant and glamorous. Definitely pop in if you're catching a train, or just visit anyway. Top class cocktails in a decadent setting with wonderful staff. Fab!

A wonderful place to bring your mother before catching the Eurostar to Brussels, or to conduct some boozy business. I did a business here once - it was great! Seeped in the history of the industrial revolution and the fronteering days of early train travel (which as we all know allowed the first sizable human civilisations to form), the Booking Office bar of the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel offers spacious environs in which to drink, eat food which comes in medium sized portions, watch bartenders with elaborate moustaches/cufflinks/brogues prepare cocktails, or have no nonsense first Tinder dates with 'strictly professionals only'  - as the lady and gentleman one booth over were having last I went - or, why ever not, all of the above.

After you've paid your probably expensive bill, expensive because you cannot have just one prohibition cocktail (anyone who can is either a scoundrel or just able to exercise self-control), take a stroll around the hotel's magnificently carpeted hallways and exit through the grandiose cafe-business plaza, where you will see business -like people with business spreadsheets opened up on their iPads, talking business. They don't just mean business... they ARE business. Business.

Ah I love this place, I have been for Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks at different times. You can sneak off and see where the Spice Girls did there first video, buy local produced beer, interview people in the day and hope on a train home pretty quickly. But the best part for me is is the ticket office was the ticket office i used to get my ticket back to uni many moons ago ! So pleased they have kept so much of the detail.

We had a v disappointing visit to The Booking Office last night. Our food was cold and the service we received after we sent it back was shocking, not a hint of an apology for the inconvenience. After we suggested an apology may be in order, we received a mumbled response, the removal of the gratuity from our bill and a 10% discount, which seemed a very token offering when my steak cost £25 and the discount amounted to 8! Hardly worth their effort! Such a shame as I have had a few very enjoyable meals there before, we won''t be rushing back.

Oh man, this place is so chic and gorgeous. Tiny but well made cocktails and you can't beat the beautiful atmosphere. People watch St Pancras next door.

The room, if can call it that is amazing - so pleased to see the architecture and fittings retained but not so sure about the acoustic ceiling! The atmosphere is excellent save the contemporary lift music which can get annoying, and when combined with the buzz of conversation can make it difficult to hear.....maybe it is just me! However the food was very mediocre. Fishermans pie with a small bowl of vegetables for £18 had very little flavour, and my wife's burger with stodgy chips for £16 was dry and had grisly bits. Then there was the added 12.5% service charge but the waitress was very attentive so if she gets it she deserves it...... Won't go again, and I am discouraged from eating in the restaurant which I had intended to. Maybe I should stick to just the drinks!

Stunning place let down by mediocre food. In fact, on one visit, the wedges were so bad they didnt charge us. I visit the place regularly to soak up the atmosphere, but the chefs in the kitchen need a few lessons on serving hot food that is actually tasty.

love this place! the calamari is a real delight and interesting . and Contrary to a review below we love the chicken and avacado sandwich - and the drinks and selections are very classy and diverse. This is my favourite spot in London and will remain so.

Great interior and location. Grand with fairly comfortable chairs and generally good atmosphere. I was starving when I got there on Sunday so unfortunately had to eat something. I ordered a chicken avocado sandwich for £15 and a strawberries and bananas "smoothie of the day" for £5.50. I was shocked when I realised the smoothie was not freshly made, it was unmistakably a very well known brand smoothie that I regularly buy from my local. The sandwich was mediocre at best, with a tasteless piece of chicken, a thin spread of avocado paste and sad looking lettuce. The green salad accompanying it was very good but the chips failed to impress. Most staff were friendly and polite, except our waitress who did not seem to care. Unfortunately service was included in the bill and not optional. It would have been a first for me but given the chance, I would not have paid gratuity as the combination of uninterested service, overpriced and poor food/drink annoyed me sufficiently. Overall, it's probably a good place to go for drinks and the menu states it stays open till 3am which is great, but I would definitely not recommend eating there.

had a great time there - the room is very grand but yet feels cosy. Food is expensive but very good and had a fantastic Spanish white wine. Overall the place has a nice feel of buzz without being overwhelming. Would go there again

One of my absolute favourite bars in London. Stunningly beautiful surroundings, awe inspiring. One let down is the food is overpriced and not always up to the standard of the drinks and ambiance.

Avatar for Disappointed

Soup that was far too buttery and gloopy, £14 for a tiny steak and ale pie, poor service. Really disappointed given the reviews on here!

Avatar for Cocktail Guru

I am such a fan of the Booking Office- the ambience, the historic space and the suberb cocktail list is what keeps me coming back. It is so unique compared to the usual hotel bars. I love the copper punch bowls and the haggis bon bons in particular, which go down very welll with the Orchard Sour cocktail! Looking forward to my next visit!

Avatar for Heb Dog

wonderful epic venue with spectacular and rare cocktails made with care. Great buzzy atmosphere and very friendly and helpful bar team

Avatar for NixB

Scores high on the gothic grandeur scale and the bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Decent winelist. The front of house staff and waiting staff, however, were abrupt, unhelpful and at times downright rude. Would come again for a glass of wine if I was passing through the station, but definitely wont be a destination bar for me.
