This past week London has been record-breakingly hot – and some of city’s transport network has struggled to deal with the heat. Not only has much of the tube been baking but hot weather caused several services to be delayed and cancelled.

May 30-31 will see more disruption on London’s tubes and trains, this time due to planned service alterations and closures. Not only will the Piccadilly line be shut – which is set to be the case all summer – but there will be significant changes to services on the Bakerloo line, DLR and Overground.

Whether you’re off to Mighty Hoopla in Brockwell Park, checking out cool new pizza spot Bar Etna or simply seeing out the weather in one of London’s many great parks, there’s plenty to be seeing and doing in the capital this weekend. Here’s how to make sure transport disruption doesn’t ruin your plans.
