High-street lunch boss Pret A Manger is, in the best possible way, after your kids.

Not content with dishing out sarnies and salads to real life adults, it’s just launched its very first full childrens menu. This teeny tiny range includes mains and sides made specifically with kids aged four to ten in mind and features six items: a chicken and cucumber triangle sandwich, ham triangles, cheese triangles, a pizza toastie, hummus and cucumber bowl and mango and banana yoghurt pot.

The new range will be available in 70 percent of Pret outlets across the country.

Clare Clough, UK & Ireland Managing Director at Pret, has said of the new line: Launching Pret’s first full kids’ range has long been a personal ambition and we’ve worked closely with our food development team, franchise partners and even our extended Pret family to create a menu we’re proud of, using the same high-quality ingredients found in several Pret classics that kids will love.

So yes, that is the same Wiltshire cured ham from Pret’s ham and greve baguette you’ll be feeding little Oscar as he sups on his barista-made Babyccino.

Pret recently came under fire for charging an ungodly price for a cheddar and pickle baguette in High Street Ken, so if you’re looking for some real Cheap Eats in London, check out our excellent list of winning dishes in the capital which all come in at under £10
