Somerset House’s ice rink is a staple of Christmas in London. Every November, it pops up in the venue’s magnificent Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court and is one of the most picturesque skating sites in the city. Not only that, it has late-night skate sessions helmed by London’s coolest DJs and party collectives.
Whether you’re a natural on the ice or can only get around by awkwardly shuffling along the wall, Skate at Somerset House is something everyone’s got to tick off their winter London bucket list at some point. And because of that, tickets get snapped up fast.
As colder weather rolls in and the festive season approaches, it’s not long before the rink returns. And the first batch of tickets go on sale soon. If you want to be among the first to get tickets, here’s everything you need to know.

Skate at Somerset House 2026 dates
The ice rink at Somerset House will open on November 11 and will be there until January 10.
When do tickets go on sale?
At the moment there isn’t an exact date for when the general ticket sale goes live. But we do know when you can get your hands on presale tickets. More on that below.

You can get early access to tickets for Skate at Somerset House from 10am on Friday September 25. You just need to sign up here before then.
How much are tickets?
Tickets for 2026 range from £15 to £28.50 for adults (depending on whether you book peak or off-peak) and will be £11 for kids.
What is the lineup for Skate at Somerset House 2026?
Skate Lates will be back this year with a lineup of DJs led by South Asian creative collective Daytimers, indie community radio Netil Radio, youth culture platform Gauchoworld, QTIPOC-led bass collective BUMPAH and Latinx queer party organisers 2CPERREA.
There’ll also be a K-Pop party on November 23 in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre, bringing tunes from BTS, BLACKPINK and emerging artists from the region.
In the daytime, there will be a Skate School for adults and teens looking to boost their confidence on the ice and a Kids’ Club for children aged six to 12. There’ll also be dedicated sessions for wheelchair users and reduced-capacity relaxed sessions.
Once again Shelter will be next to the rink with its boutique pop-up full of sought-after brands like AllSaints and Nobody’s Child, there’ll be food and drink offerings in The Chalet and, after they’re done skating, ticket holders will be able to access the exhibitions being held at Somerset House, too.
