Maltby Street Market, Bermondsey

Coffee at Maltby Street Market

When it comes to showing people around, a lot of it, in pure London fashion, depends on the weather. On the rare occasion when the sun makes an appearance, I would take them to Maltby Street Market for a quick bite and the best coffee around. After that, a nice cold pint in one of the oldest pubs on the river, The Mayflower, would only be fitting. In the rain, however, the best niche thing around is taking a tour on the HMS Belfast, and treating ourselves to a nice cocktail in the nearby London Grind afterwards. Kim Kurrel

Seven At Brixton

A Brixton cocktail crawl

I would take an out-of-towner to Brixton for a mini cocktail crawl. Start at Shrub and Shutter for some quirky and Instagram-worthy bevvies, then head to Brixton Market for cheese and bubbles at Champagne + Fromage. Finish off with cocktails and board games at Seven. Jessica Safir

Dri Dri Gelato

Gelato and flowers in Chelsea

We would go to Chelsea Farmers’ Market, grab gelato from Dri Dri Gelato, then walk around the Flower Garden. Maybe buy some seeds to plant at home. Duyku Cook

An outing to Croydon Boxpark

If I was introducing a newbie to Croydon, I’d take them to The Cronx Brewery in Boxpark, ply them with some good ale and teach them the delights of beers brewed in Croydon town. Yes, we have a brewery – who needs Hackney anymore? Jo Irwin
