Toni Maticevski is a modern day Australian designer whose work will no doubt be looked back on in the future as designs that brought contemporary Australian design to worldwide attention. Combining traditional silhouettes with the innovative use of materials and fabrics, Maticevski's understanding of the female form enables him to push the boundaries of fashion.
Maticevski is also a frequent collaborator with the art and performance world. His designs have gone on stage with Phillip Adams BalletLab, and he has contributed to campaigns for The Australian Ballet.
The Bendigo Art Gallery major exhibition of Maticevski's work will explore the designer's evolution, exploring his early influences to recurring themes in his current practice.
