Time Out says

Buxton Contemporary reopens its doors with This is a Poem, an exhibition that intertwines art and poetry. Artists and poets were tasked with responding to 26 works already held in Buxton's collection, with 19 new works – which are everything from heartfelt to humorous – resulting from the brief. Creatives featured in This is a Poem include Aleks Danko, Bella Li, Evelyn Araluen and Lou Hubbard, who address everything from colonialism and mortality to the simple act of breathing.

The exhibition also has a public program that features readings, polyphonic vocal performances and spoken word poetry events. For those interested in exploring the world of contemporary poetry, this program is a must.

This is a Poem first opened in July with a plan to run until mid-November. While it's been shut for several months due to lockdown, there are no plans to extend the exhibition – so get in while you can. The exhibition is free, but you must book tickets.
