Time Out says

Head out west for a good time with Sally and the Slice Girls

Brought to you by Jerome Borazio's Get Notorious group responsible for city drinking holes Sister Bella, Ponyfish Island and 1000 Pound Bend, Footscray's Back Alley Sally's is bringing the crew's signature good time bar vibes to the west. They've picked a suitable laneway location on Yewers Street (off Moreland Street), and they're setting up rather conveniently above sister venue Slice Girls West, which will be dishing out pizzas, burgers and toasties to hungry punters.

Hungry? Back Alley Sally's punters will be able to order up food from the downstairs pizza joint to go with the drinks. Naturally, the pizza is the star of the show here, the ham and pineapple Baby Slice and the margherita-like Viva Forever are the winners. There's also a definite student vibe with the drinks list, cocktails are served in red solo cups and the beer list include tinnies of Corona and Budweiser.

The former t-shirt printing warehouse has retained its industrial feel, and punters will be drinking among upcycled decor – spot the nanna trolley hanging mysteriously above a booth and Indonesian prawn cracker containers. The bar is a stone's throw away from Footscray train station, the main shopping strip and Victoria University, so no doubt the promise of fresh pizzas and beers will appeal to local university students and office workers, as well as city slickers from the other side of the river.
