Bar None has fanned the flames of cool out in the eastern suburbs for years. It's a place of velvety booths, sharp cocktails and sweet, sweet jazz, that has long given Camberwell locals a reason to not bother go to the city.
They've eschewed minimalism for an 'All of the drinks!' philosophy here. They're pushing everything from classic highballs, swizzles, and Southsides to the likes of thick flips –basically dessert in cocktail form. They cover a lot of ground with the wine selection too. Beer fans, step outside and head upstairs to the adjoining craft beer bar East of Everything where you can get nerdy over the huge range of constantly rotating local and international guest ales.
There was a tense time when the venue famously burnt down a couple of years ago, but a renovated Bar None rose from the ashes stronger and more delicious than ever. We like that spirit. And we like this bar.
