Time Out says

Named after Jackie Onassis/Kennedy’s hard-drinking, high stakes gaming father, Bouvier brings a little bit of old-school Americana to Brunswick East. The simple, unfussy black-and-white fit out is reminiscent of the classic drinking haunts you’ll find in any city in America, however the service and drinks list makes this bar distinctly Australian.

Wine comes by the glass, carafe or bottle and are mainly skewed towards Australian examples, but is dotted with classic, old-world wines from Europe for those with more austere palates. Cocktails get some much-loved attention by head bartender Harry Craddock, where a list of lesser-known classics like an Aviation and Blood & Sand sit next to sloe Gin Fizzes and a rum-based Espresso Martini called the Cocoa Jackson. Food is skewed on the meaty-side with steak tartare, a chicken rendang and meatballs as local favourites- expected when chef Adrian Richardson has a stake in the venue.

This venue welcomes American Express
