Time Out says

Historic Werribee Mansion has a red-hot secret: a speakeasy-style bar on a previously disused balcony

Melbourne's newest pop-up bar isn't in Melbourne at all, it's in the suburb of Werribee. A speakeasy-style bar has popped up at Mansion Hotel and Spa at Werribee Park, and guests can take in the feeling of the roaring '20s, play a spot of pool or snooker, enjoy cocktails from the Everleigh Bottling Co and indulge in Mumm champagne, all in the gorgeous surrounds of the 1877 Werribee Mansion.

To get to the bar, you must first knock on the door to Werribee Mansion. You'll be greeted by 'Mr Duncan', Lady Mary Chirnside's faithful butler. He will take you on a theatrical tour of the mansion, and you'll also get to meet the lady of the house, Mary herself. 'Mary Chirnside', done up in elegant flapper fashion, is excited to welcome her guests to her secret bar.

The bar itself is styled in pink and rose gold, with cocktails by the deft hands of the Everleigh. It's on a balcony on the first floor of the mansion, a space previously not open to the public.

The hotel offers several packages to visit Mary's Secret, from the $80 bar entry (which includes a glass of champagne and one cocktail) all the way up to the $1237 package, which includes two nights' accommodation, daily breakfast in bed, a three-course dinner and a one-hour massage.

Mary's Secret will be closing in mid-June, so if you want a midwinter treat you'll have to get in quick.
