Pop-up bar at the State Library of Victoria

Triple R bar at the State Library of Victoria

When the sun goes down, the State Library turns up this summer

Arguably, the State Library has never had more street cred than it does right now. It was the hub for this year's Melbourne Music Week, where it hosted a swag of gigs and club nights. It is currently hosting an exhibition dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Triple R. And now, it will open its doors on Friday nights to the thirsty public as a pop-up bar.

Running for three Fridays this summer (Dec 2, Jan 13 and Jan 20) the State Library will invite regular Triple R DJs to bring the tunes while you enjoy a drink from the bar and check out the On Air: 40 Years of 3RRR exhibition.

DJs include Andras (from Strange Holiday) Steve Wide (Far and Wide) and Chris Gill (Get Down).

The best part is, the whole thing is free (except the drinks). See you at the library!
