Since 2017 the Sarah Sands Hotel has been undergoing a massive three million dollar rejuvenation. The two-level Brunswick venue is finally ready to show off its new chops. This winter it's gearing up to set its place in your heart as a local pub you'll be comfortable to bend an elbow in, catch up with mates in or enjoy a quietly fancy dinner in.

The renovations have given Sarah Sands Hotel a warming flair to its interiors. You'll be able to sink in to the dynamic two-level space with a main bar, dining room, two private function spaces and an inviting outdoor terrace and upstairs bar.

The food offerings have comfort front-of-mind with a touch of contemporary inventiveness. The menu is helmed by executive chef Telina Menzies who has updated some pub classics to include native ingredients and lashings of nostalgia. Expect the counter meals you know an love sitting alongside utterly modern bar snacks like scorched Padrón peppers with Geraldton wax vinegar and sea salt and Keen's buttermilk fried chicken with native mountain pepper and tamarind yoghurt. Sarah Sands Hotel will also put a spin on the stock standard weekly specials with vegetarian Sunday roasts and parma nights.

Updated too is the age-old meat raffle. Here you'll find a farm-fresh box of fruit and vegetables up for grabs every Friday. Proceeds from tickets sales  will go to local not-for-profit organisation QueerSpace, which programs, events and services for the LGBTQIA+ community. How fab!

Sarah Sands Hotel may sound fancy but it will also be keeping the vibe loose with weekly acoustic gigs and DJs until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

The rejuvenated Sarah Sands Hotel opens its doors on Saturday June 12 from 5pm. Find out more and start planning your visit here.
