This two-pronged wine stop has opened up shop in Flemington, both selling and pouring orange and minimal intervention wines, alongside classic old world icons, plus craft tinnies. Owners Nick Prendergast and Kim Heffernan are focusing on creating a wine bar that's for everyone, whether you know your pinot gris from your grigio, or you have no idea where to start when you look at a wine list.
When you do take a peek at the Fox and Daisy's wine list, you'll see plenty of independent Victorian producers at decent prices. You'll also find a succinct list of 'wine room bites' including charcuterie and cheeses, plus bread from local Yarraville Cobb Lane Bakery. On Saturday nights things heat up with a one-off special – one night it may be a Spanish meatball stew, on another evening you can warm up with cheese fondue. They also host meet-the-maker series, plus wine masterclasses, and out the back you'll find a room available for private hire if you're keen to host a low-key wine-focused event.
