The Laurel Hotel is a pub for the people, complete with regular live music and DJs, a rooftop terrace, solid pub feeds and no pokies in sight. Dating back to 1853 (making it one of Melbourne's oldest pubs) the Laurel Hotel has recently been renovated.

The big new drawcard is the stylish and relaxed Middle Bar. With its tapas-style share plates, as well as a brand new wine and cocktail list – Middle Bar is the perfect spot for after-work drinks or weekend catch-ups.

You'll also find a totally revamped bistro menu and daily specials. On Mondays it's all about steak with $18 porterhouse or $20 scotch fillet with chips, salad and sauce. On Tuesday and Sunday you can tuck into a hearty $23 roast and pot or wine, and Thursday is $14 parma day with $6.50 schooners and house wines. You'll also find Quizame interactive trivia on Wednesday night and live acoustic music on Thursday in the new Middle Bar.

So whether you're in search of a hearty midweek parma or a chilled rooftop beer the Laurel Hotel has a place for you this winter.
