If you've been following our movements over the past few weeks, then you'll know that the annual Time Out Pub Awards is just around the corner (next Monday, in fact!).
It's the time of the year when we raise a glass to the very best watering holes in town, awarding pubs with titles like Best Pub Food, Best Beer List, and of course, Pub of the Year. We don't want to brag (much), but our events are pretty legendary: we're big on giving guests plenty of booze and food for their buck, and featuring some of our favourite entertainment (buy your ticket here).
This year, your host will be none other than the bold and the brash Bev Killick. Incredibly likeable and always a bit outlandish, Bev never fails to bring the house down.
Also on the bill is Melbourne's own calypso five-piece Mighty Duke & the Lords (above). These guys bring some serious energy to the stage – if you've ever seen them live on the festival circuit, you'll know what we're talking about. The white linen-clad guys have also been known to frequent other acts like The Melbourne Ska Orchestra, the Suitcase Royale and NO ZU.
What else, you ask? When you're not dancing, laughing or drinking, follow the flashing lights to an iDarts machine – the surprisingly super-fun digital version of the classic pub game.
