Given that this is the first time that much-loved documentary maker Louis Theroux has announced a speaking tour in Australia, it's highly unsurprising that the demand for tickets has reached surprise Madonna fan club show proportions.

Pre-sale tickets were in such high demand that Louis Theroux has added a second date to the Melbourne leg of the tour – a matinee on the same day as his evening talk in September. That means that you've got twice as much chance to score tickets to see Theroux live on stage as he shares delicious insights into the making of his fascinating documentaries – the subjects of which swing from the alarming and dangerous (The Most Hated Family in America, Louis and the Nazis, The City Addicted to Crystal Meth) to the kooky (UFOs, Body Building). Most recently, the British filmmaker has released a trio of documentaries delving into the bizarre and difficult stories of LA.

Tickets go on sale on Monday March 21, and are expected (like Sydney's did) to sell out in minutes.

Louis Theroux Live on Stage. Sunday September 25. Tickets on sale Monday March 21.
