There's a new dessert pop-up in town: Milkcow

We're all familiar with self-serve frozen yoghurt joints: it's usually a build-your-own deal where you get to pile on any combination of toppings (no one's judging, really) before you weigh everything at the counter. Banking on our penchant for DIY desserts, South Korean dessert chain Milkcow is opening a pop-up soft serve outlet at The Strand where you'll also be able to choose your own soft serve and topping combinations.

Opting for a dairy-based soft serve instead of frozen yoghurt, the Korean chain that has taken South East Asia by storm is introducing their wacky flavour combos to Melburnians from Friday April 1 to May 31. Some of their signature combos include a real slab of honeycomb on their vanilla soft serve, or you can opt for caramel popcorn, macaron or Oreo crumbs instead. There are enough sweet options on offer that it's quite likely that opening at the end of summer won't matter much to the cold treat-seeking crowds.

Keen to try this new dessert bar before everyone else? The pop-up will be open to the public for a sneak preview on March 26-28.
