We never thought we'd see the day when owning a Drowzee, a Magmar or a Voltorb would earn you discounts on delicious Chinese food. But this is a Pokémon Go world, and we're just living in it.
Yesterday, CBD Chinese restaurant Lost Heaven announced that they would be offering discounts to customers who own certain Pokémon in the game. Some are more valuable than others: a Seel, Mankey or Haunter earns you 10 per cent off, while a rare Abra gets you 30 per cent off your meal.
You can only use the offer once per table, so even if you've caught 'em all, the maximum discount you'll get is 30 per cent. Still, not a bad reward simply for playing a game on your phone.
If there was ever an incentive to become the very best like no one ever was, surely it's this.
