It's more than just a nightclub. It’s a community, and a damn good party. For years people have wandered through the dark doors on a Saturday night and emerged into a party that feels like it can finally start now that you’ve arrived. Drinks flow, lights flash around the room and the DJ knows just what to play next.
There are no judgements on the dancefloor of the Doof, only people climbing onto the platforms dotted around the room and grooving their fabulous pants off.
Poof Doof is also the home to one of the biggest and most anticipated events of the Melbourne gay calender, the Big Doof.
With different themed nights just about every other week, there’s always something new and exciting happening down at this Chapel street institution. Long may it reign.
