Comedy Central-regular and all-round funny lady Amy Schumer has announced that she will be returning to Australia this December, and she will be touching down in Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on December 12. The tour marks Schumer's first arena stand-up shows and fans who missed out on her last appearance in Melbourne will no doubt be packing the seats.
The last time the star of Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer and Trainwreck visited Australia last year , she packed out Melbourne's Hamer Hall with a show that was composed of her usual cocktail of on-the-nose observations on sex, relationships and her self-deprecating outlook on life.
Tickets go on sale July 14, or on July 13 for Live Nation pre-sale subscribers.

"Like any confident mirror-breaker, girlfriend stylishly owns the very flaws she draws attention to. Instead it’s society and the media who emerge as the hypocritical, superficial asshole with a weird sex complex.
Schumer has often been labeled as a ‘sex comic’, a term she doesn’t understand, especially as it’s only ever applied to women. Sex does play a big part in Schumer’s comedy. She’s a sexual being and –you might need to sit down for this one- sometimes women like to talk dirty too. She clarifies why it’s never a good idea to sleep with guys from your improve troupe and does an impression of Michelle Obama post sexy-times that is, well, frankly too rude to repeat. There are also a lot of visceral references to male and female body parts, fluids and her own underwear- “it’s like Charlotte’s Web in here”. It’s crude and delightful oversharing.
Schumer makes it clear that she just wants everyone to have fun- and boy, do they... The fourth wall dissolves and you could almost be at dinner talking some dirty, delicious smack with your most outrageous friend. She just makes you want to do sugary shots, have adventures and spill all your weird little secrets."
