Time Out says

Silver screens are off-limits for Melburnians at the moment, but Melbourne Queer Film Festival is still committed to bringing you new films at home.

MQFF is hosting a signature screening of new comedy-drama Stage Mother this September 26 and 27, with all Australians able to watch the film on demand for the weekend. Stage Mother stars Australia's Jacki Weaver as Maybelline – a conservative Texan church choir director who takes over her son's San Francisco drag bar after his death.

The film has an all-star cast including Adrian Grenier, Lucy Liu, Mya Taylor and drag star Jackie Beat. MQFF will be streaming Stage Mother on demand via its website on September 26 and 27, with online passes less than your average movie ticket.
