Melbourne's beach-front suburb will crawl with ghosts and ghouls for a five-day festival this Halloween
Prepare for the fright of your life as the grounds of St Kilda Town Hall transform into a haunted manor this Halloween. Spooktober is a free, five-day Halloween festival that has been delighting (and frightening) Melburnians for six years.
Spooktober caters to all ages of Halloween fans. Kids can load up on lollies and terrify their parents with their sugar high, teenagers can have a go at the carnival games, and adults can chill out in costumes while eating something tasty from the line-up of food trucks. The entire town hall is illuminated for the event, while inside there are two custom-built haunted houses and an escape room to try.
In 2018 Spooktober will also feature a nightly drag show by the HallowQueens. Regular attractions return including a pop-up bar, food truck park, face painting, trick or treat trail and carnival games.
