The world’s favourite Italian plumber turned video game hero is coming to the Langham. During the Victorian summer school holidays, the hotel’s Aria Lounge will host a Super Mario high tea featuring sweet and savoury treats inspired by the popular game series.
Everyone from the original 1980s Mario fans to the occasional Mario Kart racer will get a kick out of the adorable high tea offerings. There’s gold coin cupcakes, macarons modelled after Toad, power moon cookies, mystery block lamingtons, pink frosted Princess Peach muffins and Cappy toasties – named after Mario’s companion in the newest Super Mario game, Super Mario Odyssey.
Rounding out the high tea menu is childhood favourites like ham and cheese sandwiches, raspberry cordial and hot chocolate. Serious Mario fans also have the option of getting a plush Mario cap to take home with them (available to both children and adults because you never stop loving Mario). Adults also get a glass of sparkling on arrival and the option to choose the wedgewood high tea if preferred.
Bookings are available weekdays between December 28 and January 31.
