Kids theatre company Patch Theatre brings its award-winning light and sound show to Arts Centre Melbourne

Colour and light come together in this show-stopping production by children’s theatre company Patch Theatre. The Lighthouse is billed as “part installation, part rave and part scientific quest” and it’s set to grace Arts Centre Melbourne’s State Theatre stage this July.

The whole experience is immersive and interactive. Audiences are guided through a series of interconnected rooms that show off Patch Theatre’s exploration of light, sound, perspective and reflection. Visitors can experience a mixture of bright, bold rooms that burst with colour and light, but also sit back and ponder in darkened and intimate settings.

The Lighthouse was well-received when it premiered at the 2020 Adelaide Festival, going on to win the 2020 Ruby Award for best work or event within a festival.

It’s showing at Arts Centre Melbourne from July 6-10, as well as July 16 and 17. Sessions run for one hour. Book your tickets here.
