Nick White: Teenage Dream
You’ve almost certainly seen Nick White’s side-splitting character comedy videos on your TikTok feed, given that he’s racked up more than 400,000 followers and almost 37 million likes on the platform. Now, Melburnians have the chance to see him IRL as part of this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival. White called time on his architecture career back in 2022 to pursue comedy. Just one year later, his first solo show Grow Up enjoyed a sold-out run on the Aussie East Coast and in the UK. This March and April, White will bring his distinctly Australian brand of humour to the Trades Hall stage during MICF. His second solo show is called Teenage Dream and it’s a look back at all the things that happened on his journey from creatively motivated kid to real-life comedian. Whether you’re a dedicated TikTok follower or simply looking to see one of the rising stars of the scene in action, we reckon it’ll be a ripper. Tickets for Teenage Dream are on sale now at the MICF website, and they’ll set you back between $27 and $32. Want more?
