Boogie with your pupper at this dog-friendly music festival
This is the one music festival where you actually want to be approached by dogs on arrival. Dogapalooza is back for its third year, bringing with it a beautiful union of live music, food trucks, people and canines. Once again, proceeds will go to dog charities including Oscar’s Law, Puppy Tails Rescue, Greyhound Rescue Victoria, Melbourne Animal Rescue and Stafford Rescue Victoria.
The first (and very promising) round of artists has been announced: Melbourne indie-electro artist Lanks (accompanied by a three-piece band), and fellow local artist Hayden Calnin, whose downbeat electro/folk has been compared to Bon Iver and James Blake.
There's also a cracking food truck line-up. The festival will have its own in-house pie stall, Rice and Dice, Waffle and Shake and dog washing stations from Blue Wheelers and Moon Dog Brewery (because you need a beer while your dog's getting a shower).
'Early Dog' tickets are now sold out, but second release tickets are available (obviously, your doggy companion is free).
Whether you're planning on spending the day with your favourite pooch, or living vicariously through fellow dog owners in attendance, this is going to be one big puppy party.
