Whether or not you know Hans Zimmer's name, you can almost certainly hum more than one of his tunes. The film composer is one of Hollywood's favourites and has more than 150 films to his name including The Lion King (for which he won an Academy Award), The Dark Knight trilogy, Gladiator, Dunkirk, Inception, Interstellar and the Pirates of the Carribean series.
He's known for pioneering a melding of electronic sounds with full orchestras, which makes it appropriate that he'll be performing alongside a full orchestra and band on his new Australian tour. And given that his work is all about bringing sound to visual experiences, he's promising an impressive stage production and dazzling light show.
Zimmer last toured Australia in 2017 and is bringing this show to Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and Brisbane's Entertainment Centre in October. Tickets are on sale Monday June 17 at 10am.
