Time Out says

See the cult film Suspiria with an all new soundtrack

Cinephiles rejoice! Dario Argento’s 1977 cult film Suspiria will find new life this March with a revamped soundtrack performed live by artists such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

On Sunday, March 1, Hamer Hall will host two screenings of the Italian supernatural horror film alongside live artists performing a new, specially written score, allowing audiences to experience the beloved film in a new way.

The performance line up includes three members of Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Leah Senior, Fia Fiell, Cold Hands Warm Heart and the Melbourne Chamber Choir.

The event, run by Hear My Eyes, is the group’s 17th audio-visual event, having previously screened films such as Drive at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Hear My Eyes’ founder Haydn Green has also been impacted by the recent bushfires and is pledging a portion of ticket sales to directly support others affected.

Tickets are $79, with performances taking place at 4pm and 8pm.
