Time Out says

The annual nostalgia-fest is back with its starriest line-up yet

There have been some big acts at R'n'B Fridays Live over the last few years, including Nelly, TLC, Craig David, Usher and Salt-n-Pepa, but none of them compares to Janet freakin' Jackson. The bona fide music industry legend is the headliner for this year's iteration of the festival, bringing decades of hits to the stage. She's fresh off a stellar Glastonbury set and a Vegas residency that's seen her singing and dancing (at 53 she still dances circles around pop stars half her age) through fan favourites like 'Miss You Much', 'Together Again', 'That's the Way Love Goes', 'What Have You Done For Me Lately?', 'Nasty' and 'All For You'.

She'll be joined by a band who is so 2008 (and we don't mean that as an insult in this context), the Black Eyed Peas, as well as 50 Cent and Jason Derulo, who'll be singing both his hits and his name. The line-up also includes Keri HilsonSisqo (yes, of 'Thong Song' fame), J-Kwon, and host Fatman Scoop.

The Sydney show is at Marvel Stadium on November 9; actually a Saturday and not a Friday, so at least you don't have to come up with an excuse to leave work early. Tickets go on sale on August 19.
