Time Out says

The English rock duo are coming to Melbourne in May

Following their headliner spot at Splendour in the Grass in 2017, Royal Blood are returning to Australia for a stadium tour this autumn.

Bassist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher went from cult favourite to mainstream hit after a 2pm set at Glastonbury in 2014 went off in a big way. Their self-titled debut album went to number one in the UK and was the fastest-selling UK debut in three years.

The tour is off the back of the band's second album, How Did We Get So Dark?. The album is a break-up album, partly about the collapse of Thatcher's marriage.

The band will play Margaret Court Arena, their biggest Melbourne venue to date. Kerr and Thatcher have toured Australia five times in as many years, to ever-bigger crowds.

Royal Blood will be supported in Australia by Polish Club and Psychadelic Porn Crumpets.
