Time Out says

Prepare for a live rendition of the blue light disco of your ’90s kid dreams when this duo performs in Melbourne

We all had a little chuckle and fondly reminisced about our pre-teen twirls on the dancefloor when Sean Paul and Shaggy announced they would be leading the line-up at the new One Love Festival on the Gold Coast in 2020. But we really got our hair crimpers in a knot with excitement when we heard that the Jamaican rapper and reggae pair would be gracing Melbourne with their unforgettable bangers in January.

Whether you know Shaggy for his breakthrough early hits like ‘Oh Carolina’ (which was a 1993 dancehall remake of the ska track by the Folkes Brothers), for 2000s classics like ‘It Wasn’t Me’ and ‘Angel’, or more recent collabs with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Sting, you’re sure to have boogied to his infectious beats on a Saturday eve. And if you partake in a bit of unce, unce, unce on the odd occasion, it’s likely that Sean Paul’s ‘Temperature’, 'Got 2 Luv U’ and Dua Lipa collaboration ‘No Lie’ are still popping your eardrums on the reg.

In this solo Melbourne show, these blast from the past performers will be supported by US reggae-pop artist Josh Wawa White. The groovy gig will be touring the country in the days either side of One Love Festival, stopping in at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Wednesday, January 29.
