The Spring Music Festival in Castlemaine is a yearly event that brings classical music to the region. Over the weekend of November 18-19 this year the festival is putting on two major events that are sure to attract crowds from Castlemaine and beyond.
On Saturday November 18 it's all aboard the Goldfields Railway express for a musical train journey to Maldon. On arrival you'll get dinner and a concert by four of Australia's finest musicians at the Maldon Progress Hall, including violinist Zoe Black and Ken Murray on guitar.
The music continues on Sunday November 19 with a concert at Castlemaine Town Hall. The Firebird Piano Trio will be playing Beethoven's Piano Trio in E Flat, Smetana's piano trio and a new work courtesy of Firebird composer Benjamin Martin.
