Time Out says

The American multi-instrumentalist will return to Australia for the first time since 2014

For the first time in almost a decade, Ty Segall returns to Australia with the Freedom Band. Hot on the heels of his new album, Hello, Hi, the American multi-instrumentalist’s latest work has been touted as a cosmic assortment of love songs flowering in righteous consciousness.

The Los Angeles-based ‘My Lady’s on Fire’ singer began his recording career as a part-time musician in various bands in Orange County before embarking on solo pursuits in 2008. Hello, Hi is the 35-year-old musician's 14th solo studio album and is a testament to his skill in reinventing himself year after year, record by record.

The album is a great entry point into Segall's eclectic oeuvre, and concertgoers can expect to hear his signature blend of
psychedelic garage rock, acoustic balladry and idiosyncratic charm.

Segall and the Freedom Band (Emmett Kelly, Mikal Cronin, Ben Boye and Charles Moothart) will perform at the Forum Melbourne on January 21 to 'melt our brains and hearts.'

Tickets to see Ty Segall and the Freedom Band start from $71.20, and you can secure them via Ticketek.
