Time Out says

Musicians are returning to the Hamer Hall stage for a series of streamed, socially distant concerts

Melbourne's theatres and concert halls might be lacking physical audiences at the moment, but they're definitely not going to waste. Australian musos are returning to the Hamer Hall stage this winter for a series of three free concerts titled Vault Sessions.

For three weeks starting July 23, musicians will be taking over an audience-free Hamer Hall for intimate online performances. Vault Sessions has lined up three local acts to perform (for anyone playing along at home with the DHHS guidelines, please note that all the performances were recorded in June but will be streaming for the first time from July). The concert series starts July 23 with Wergaia and Wemba Wemba singer-songwriter Alice Skye, who first made waves in 2018 with her first album Friends With Feelings.

Sydney-based artist Ziggy Ramo will perform on July 30. Along with attracting a fair amount of acclaim, (he's been named West Australian Music's 'Hip Hop Artist of the Year', 'Indigenous Artist of the Year' and Triple J Unearthed's 'Artist to Watch') Ramo is using his platform to put issues of racism and discrimination squarely at the forefront of Australia's national conversation.

The final Vault Session on August 6 will feature Melbourne band Cash Savage and the Last Drinks for what will likely be a raw and emotive rock show.

The Vault Session performances are free to watch and will be available for two weeks after first airing – so don't stress if you're busy on the night. Head along to Arts Centre Melbourne's Facebook or YouTube channels at 7.30pm on each night to stream the shows.
