It beggars belief but summer is officially here again, bringing with it sunny days (we hope), the end of work, end of school, festive fun, New Year celebrations, feasting, the cricket, the tennis, the everything!

But with all the incredible things to do in Melbourne, how do you choose? That's where we come in. We at Time Out have come up with 100 things to do on all 100 days of summer (and yes, pedants, we know that summer technically ends at the end of February, but try telling us that when it's 40 degrees in March). From shopping and sport to arts and culture, food and drink to music and movies, all the highlights are here.

We'll be posting one special highlight event every single day on our homepage, and you can plan your social life ahead with our interactive calendar. Pop the calendar in your bookmarks and return to it whenever you're looking for something to do. Good times guaranteed.

And to help you get around the city we’ve partnered with PTV, who have added in a public transport map planner that makes getting to where you’re going a breeze. Here's to summer!

Check out the interactive calendar here.
