Little Monsters, your time has finally arrived! After 11 long years, Lady Gaga is back in Melbourne for two huge shows

Update Saturday, December 6: Melbourne, you sure did put your paws up last night! Lady Gaga hit the stage for night one of the Mayhem Ball in Melbourne, performing for an adoring crowd of more than 60,000 people for 2.5 hours. It was a true theatrical feast of iconic hits, costume changes and incredible choreography. And there were surprises, too: Gaga played the unreleased track 'Brooklyn Nights' – a song she hasn't performed live since the last time she was in Melbourne. Will she play it again tonight? The Little Monsters will just have to wait and see...
Since Lady Gaga first announced back in April that she was bringing her Mayhem Ball Tour to Australia, the countdown has been on. And now, we are about to witness the spectacle for ourselves. From what time the gates open (important if you have a GA ticket and want to score a prime position right at the front) to what the setlist looks like (will she finish with 'Bad Romance'?) we've got all the info you need ahead of her two massive shows at Marvel Stadium. See you there, Little Monsters!
Lady Gaga's much-hyped Mayhem Ball will take over Marvel Stadium on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6.
Marvel Stadium is right next door to Southern Cross Station, so public transport is by far the best option to get to the Lady Gaga concert. Simply walk over the convenient footbridge to get from the platforms to the stadium entrance. For info on how to plan your public transport journey, head over here.
Gates open at 5pm, and Lady Gaga is expected to begin by around 7.30pm. The show goes for approximately 150 minutes.
There are specific rules for what you can and can’t bring to the Lady Gaga concerts in Melbourne. Here are the main things to remember.
You can bring:
Prams, pushers, eskies, bags and other belongings, however they must be able to fit safely under the patron’s seat without impeding access. Patrons are encouraged to travel without bags but, if a bag is necessary, it should be no larger than A4 size.
You can’t bring:
All the usuals, including glassware, banners larger than 1.6 metres, flags, professional cameras, cans, laser pointers, flares, confetti, any illegal substances and more. Check out the full conditions of entry here. In good news, there is a complimentary cloaking service.
This won’t come as a shock to anyone, but demand for Lady Gaga tickets have been through the roof, especially given it’s her first time touring Melbourne in 11 years. You can try your luck at getting your hands on any last-minute tickets via the Ticketmaster website.
With night one of the Mayhem Ball done and dusted, we now know what the 31-strong setlist looks like. And yes, it's wall-to-wall hits – with a surprise song thrown in for good measure.
No one! A queen of pop music like Lady Gaga needs no support act.
You will be able to grab some goodies from various merch booths throughout Marvel Stadium. External stores will be open from 12pm, while internal ones will open from 5pm (when the gates open).
