If you’ve ever visited the incredible Marina Bay Sands pool in Singapore, you’ll know that infinity pools are infinitely better when they tower over a city. Now, Melbourne can lay claim to a pretty top-notch new attraction: an infinity pool located on the 70th floor of the 319-metre-tall luxury Australia 108 tower in Southbank.

Now, we said the highest infinity pool. But what we actually meant was pools. Yes, there are two identical trapezoidal-shaped pools. The north-facing pool stretches 18 metres long and 5.3 metres at its widest point and it offers some killer views over the Melbourne skyline. The south-facing pool has the same dimensions but faces out towards Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park Lake and the Dandenong Ranges.

Australia 108 currently holds the title as Australia’s tallest building, beating out Eureka Tower as Melbourne’s tallest. You may recognise it as the building with the gold band around the middle, a star-shaped section of the building called the Starburst. While the entire building comprises 1,105 apartments over 100 floors, the Starburst is where you’ll find the pools well as resident lounges, meeting spaces, dining rooms, a theatre, two gyms and even a vertical sky garden.
